Tom Sherman is an artist and writer. He works in video, audio, radio, performance and text/image. He has exhibited widely, including shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, the Venice Biennale, Documenta, Tate Britain, the Impakt Festival, Kassseler Dokfest, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. Before and After the I-Bomb: An Artist in the Information Environment, an anthology of his technocultural criticism, is available through the Banff Centre Press. He received Canada’s Governor General’s Award for Visual and Media Art in 2010. Sherman is a professor in the Department of Transmedia at Syracuse University in central New York.
