Andrew V. Uroskie is Associate Professor of Modern Art and Media, and Director of the MA/PhD Program at Stony Brook University in New York. He is the author of Between the Black Box and the White Cube: Expanded Cinema and Postwar Art(Chicago, 2014), and his numerous essays on film, art and visual culture have been translated into five languages. His forthcoming book, The Kinetic Imaginary, was selected for the Arts Writers Foundation 2018 book prize. A second work-in-progress, Remaking Reality, will focus on video art in the age of social media.
